A family owned vegan cafe, now also a web shop
The Banu cafe and bakery was founded in March 2018 by a young Persian couple, Shiva and Behzad in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. Choosing the name “Banu” (means Lady in Farsi language) was to honor all Iranian women for cooking lovely delicious food at home for centuries. The idea of setting up the cafe, came up to our mind in 2017, after working in Finnish food industry for more than 1 year and half, and realizing a big lack of good Persian food and pastries and specially the plant based versions. Our concept is to offer the experience of a traditional homemade products with a good diversity in a creative fusion way.
Now we have expanded our activities to a web shop as well. You can order a wide range of exquisite products through our web shop. Most importantly, you can now order catering (food, cakes & desserts, dips & salads) through our web shop without having to contact us. As always, we make sure you will be happy with our services.
